Built mostly in the 1970s
The Census Bureau's American Community Survey (2020–2024) counts about 11,470 housing units in St. Andrews, the most of any community in our service area. About 3,780 were built in the 1970s alone. Only about 30 percent of units are detached single-family houses, and about 29 percent of occupied homes are owner-occupied.
So in St. Andrews we work for two kinds of clients: owners of 1970s single-family houses who need a first full replacement, and HOAs or managers who maintain gutters across several buildings at once.

St. Andrews Road, Broad River Road and Harbison
St. Andrews Road and Broad River Road carry most of the traffic, and Harbison Boulevard marks the newer commercial edge. Streets behind them are older, with tall pines between buildings. Townhouse rows often share a single long gutter across several units, which needs enough downspouts to keep the far ends from overflowing.
Rehanging an older gutter runShared roofs, shared water
On attached buildings, one unit's downspout can empty right in front of a neighbor's door. When we replace gutters on a townhouse row, we place outlets so water reaches the lawn or a drain, not a shared walk or a parking area.
Typical St. Andrews jobs
- Full replacement on 1970s single-family houses, with seamless 5- or 6-inch gutters.
- Townhouse rows: new gutters with extra outlets, priced by building.
- Repairs and rehanging after wind and falling limbs.
- Guards on buildings under pines.
