These figures come from Angi's 2026 cost guides for gutter installation, seamless gutters and copper gutters, plus Fixr's copper gutter costs. They are national averages, not Columbia quotes, and the guides do not all measure the same way: some quote material per foot, some quote installed per foot, some quote a whole house.

Guard prices are from Angi's gutter guard guide. Published prices for burying downspouts vary widely: The Gutter Report compares HomeGuide's $150 to $350 per downspout with Angi's $800 to $2,000 for a single underground extension. Length of the run and how deep we have to dig through clay make most of the difference.

What moves a Columbia quote
- Stories and access. Two-story walls over a slope or a deck take longer and need more ladder work than a one-story brick ranch.
- Gutter size. Six-inch costs a little more per foot than five-inch, and the downspouts that go with it are larger.
- Outlets. Every added downspout means another outlet, elbows and a downspout run to the ground. Under pines and long roofs, extra outlets are usually worth it.
- Fascia. Soft or rotted fascia has to be replaced before the new gutter goes up. We price it by the board after we have looked at it.
- Metal. Copper is priced by the job, because the metal itself is a large part of the cost.
- Drains. Buried lines are priced by footage, by how many downspouts tie in, and by what is in the way: roots, walks and driveways.
What a written quote should list
A fair gutter quote names the gutter size and profile, the metal and its thickness, the color, the total footage, the number and size of downspouts, the hanger type and spacing, any guards, any fascia repair, any drain lines, and removal of the old gutters. If one of those is missing, ask.
